Calendar Math: December!

New month, new calendar! Post your observations, predictions, confirmed predictions, disproved predictions or any other comments you have about any of the calandar components for December! Make sure you identify the part of Calendar you are making a prediction for.

Class participation requirement: All homeroom students are required to make at least one prediction this month.

All these predictions with only one calendar piece up!! Make sure you adjust your predictions or write about how your predictions were proven or disproven as the month goes on! I will get our stars laminated on Monday so we can post multiples of five on our counting tape. You guys are doing an excellent job with calandar math. Keep it up!

To clarify Alex's prediction - we've been analyzing our coin counter by percent (of a dollar) and fractions. We connect the percent to passing / grade equivalency. So Alex's prediction means that he thinks we will have over 70% of a dollar by the end of the month

I really like how some students are giving a reason, or explaining their reasons for their prediction. That really shows me that you're thinking about why you're making the prediction and not just randomly guessing.
