Idiom Fun!

As we create our idiom flipbooks this week, take the time to list your favorite saying or expression here! Define an idiom and use it correctly in a short (but creative) paragraph. Use at least 4 descriptive adjectives to make your writing more interesting. Be sure to proofread you writing before you post!

Start the fourth quarter off on the right foot - extra credit will be awarded for multiple entries!

Here are some of my favorites... can you figure them out based on the literal pictures?

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Definition: When you get an unexpected gift or chance don't ask questions about it. Just be happy for what you have.

Last Tuesday, pupils in Mrs. Perry's wonderful reading class signed up to do biography presentations on Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday afternoon, right before students went home, Mrs. Perry gave them a half sheet of paper with a revised schedule on it. Students were not going to even start presentations till Friday! When Tori came up and asked, "Mrs. Perry, is this really true? Do I really get the weekend to practice?" Mrs. Perry said, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!"
