I shared all my gifts from my students with Mr. Perry when I got home from school last night. He agreed when I told him what a wonderful and thoughtful group of students I have this year.

Today is house cleaning day! (Not too terribly exciting, but so very necessary before the holidays! I'm sure your parents would appreciate a little help before Christmas with tidying up too. Think of it as an early gift you can give them.)

In any case, it's nice to be home! I think I'm going to pick a nice long novel to read over break, just for me.

Take care,
Mrs. Perry

So far I've had a wonderful break. 2 of my brothers and 3 of my sisters came out to celebrate Christmas at my parents' house. my other two siblings didn't come (my other brother has a brand new baby and my other sister has four children and decided to have a Christmas at home). I'll be visiting them sometime this week. I ate way too much ham and pie and cookies. Oh, and turkey. WAY too much turkey...

Anyway, hope everyone is having a relaxing break! I'll see you in January!

Tuesday my husband and I went and picked out my Christmas/birthday present - a piano!! I am very excited and looking forward to getting it delivered on Friday. I haven't played in about 5 years, so it will really be nice to get back into playing again.

My kitties have truly enjoyed our Christmas tree. It looks like they had a wild time playing with it last night! There are pine needles scattered all around it and a couple ornaments on the floor. Looks like I had better do a bit of vacuuming up before my sister visits.

Hmmm... I wish it were snowing instead of raining right now! Mr. Perry tells me the Farmer's Almanac predicts a mild January up till the very end when he claims we'll get a ton of snow. I don't know if I believe it. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

:)
Take care,
Mrs. Perry
